First of all, my car runs an RB26 not a VG, but since the TPS, wiring and ECU are so similar, I figure why not run this by the most knowledgeable group of Nissan enthusiasts I know of... Any ideas as to why the TPS signal voltage would jump up erratically *only* when the engine is running? With the ignition on and the engine off the voltage climbs smoothly from 0.48v (closed) to around 5v (open) as it should, but when the engine is running it spikes upwards inconsistently? Alternator noise?
